Every click, scroll, error and form entry on one timeline. Press play, or drag through it.
Each visitor gets a made-up name and a profile: the pages they saw, the outside links they clicked, the files they downloaded and their conversions.
Build a funnel from pages, clicks or goals, then split it by device, source or test variant.
Reports use what Cuttl already records, so they cover past sessions too. Click any point to see the visitors and recordings behind it.

Cuttl groups problems by page and element and sorts them by how many sessions they affect, so you can fix the biggest first.

Explore Web ExperimentsJourney Insights is Cuttl’s behaviour analytics product. It combines click, scroll and hover heatmaps, session recordings, frustration signals such as rage and dead clicks, funnels, form analytics, feedback and site health, so you can see where visitors get stuck and why.
A heatmap shows where visitors click, move and scroll on a page, using colour from cool to hot. Cuttl builds click, scroll and hover heatmaps for your pages automatically, and you can filter them by device, traffic source, segment, A/B test variant or the elements visitors clicked.
A session recording replays one visitor’s session: their clicks, scrolling and page changes, with form inputs masked. Cuttl records the structure of the page rather than video, so replays stay sharp and light, and the timeline marks rage clicks, errors and conversions.
A rage click is several fast clicks on the same spot, usually because something didn’t respond. A dead click is a click that changes nothing on the page. Cuttl detects both, groups them into issues and links each one to the recordings that show it.
The Cuttl Tag loads asynchronously, so it doesn’t block your page from rendering. Recordings capture changes to the page rather than video, which keeps the data it sends small.
Form inputs are masked by default, visitors’ IP addresses are never stored, and you can mask or block any element on the page. With a consent mode turned on, nothing that identifies a visitor is stored until they consent. Bots and AI agents we detect are filtered out of reports.
Yes. Route changes made with pushState and popstate are tracked as new page views automatically, so frameworks such as React, Vue and Next.js work without extra setup.
Yes. Journey Insights and Web Experiments share one Cuttl Tag, so every variant of a test gets its own heatmaps and recordings.
Only if you connect them. Cuttl has a built-in MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini can answer questions about your visitors, pages and issues once you create an API key for them.
Add the Cuttl Tag. Heatmaps and recordings start with the next session, and tests run from the same code.
